NHS IVF policy changes for Oldham and Greater Manchester 2026
NHS Greater Manchester will standardise IVF funding across all ten boroughs from 1st April 2026. Eligible women aged 39 and under will generally receive one funded cycle under the new rules. A second attempt is permitted only if the initial cycle is cancelled or abandoned medically. This replaces the previous system offering between one and three cycles based on residence. Patients referred before the implementation date will continue treatment under existing policies. Board papers from 21st January detail the Integrated Care Board's final approval.
