Tommy Cannon prostate cancer diagnosis Oldham comedian
Tommy Cannon, 87, from Oldham, has revealed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in his 50s and has been on active surveillance for over 20 years. The comedian, known as one half of Cannon and Ball, said he was 'frightened to death' by the diagnosis but is now 'still here, still kicking and doing OK'. He is working with Prostate Cancer UK to raise awareness and urges men over 50 to get tested, calling it 'life-saving'. Cannon's wife Hazel has been 'amazing' and 'supportive' throughout his journey.
