Oldham Athletic support Kane Drummond's rehabilitation

Oldham Athletic forward Kane Drummond received a suspended 20-month prison sentence in May 2025 for assault causing grievous bodily harm in Liverpool on December 12, 2022. The court ordered him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity. Drummond failed to comply with these conditions and received a second chance from the court. Manager Micky Mellon and chief executive Darren Royle stated the club fully supports Drummond's rehabilitation, allowing him to complete his unpaid work on Wednesdays when the team doesn't train. The club emphasized they would never prevent him from fulfilling his legal obligations.
