Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) published its seventh modern slavery statement covering the 2023-2024 financial year, approved on 9 September 2024. The report details £444 million spent on goods and services across over 500 suppliers globally. TfGM now mandates Real Living Wage payments for high-value contractors and requires strict anti-slavery declarations. New due diligence measures include using the Company Watch Covid Scenario Forecast platform during procurement. The organisation reserves the right to terminate contracts with suppliers failing to improve substandard practices. Head of Legal Services Jacqueline Elliott signed the document pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. These measures aim to protect vulnerable workers within the supply chains supporting Oldham's bus and tram networks.
