Oldham Illuminate 2026 light festival full line-up
Oldham's ninth Illuminate Light Night runs 6 pm-9 pm on Saturday 21 February 2026 with a free, fully-accessible town-centre trail of light art, performance and installations. Dancing Threads parade leaves Civic Centre at 6 pm led by The Dancing Diyas and Saddleworth Women's Morris and Clog, ending at Old Town Hall. Market Street hosts Studio Vertigo's wing-shaped sculpture Sentinel; Albion Street shows Laura Spark's stop-motion projection The Relic of Mirchwood Forest. Illumaphonium, a 3.5-metre 108-bar musical tower, marks its tenth touring year. Parliament Square presents Love Oldham, co-created with Blackpool Illuminations, while Library Gardens hosts a silent disco beneath Stellar Creates' coloured-panel mirrorball.
