Oldham TfGM Contact Details and Opening Times 2026

One number, 0161 244 1000, gets Oldham travellers live help until 8 pm daily, with free interpreters on request.

Oldham residents who need help with buses, trams or tickets can now ring one number, 0161 244 1000, and speak to an adviser until eight every night of the week. The line opens an hour earlier on weekdays, at seven, and stays open through bank holidays, removing the old frustration of finding transport offices closed on a Monday off.

If your first language is not English, staff can patch in LanguageLine within minutes so you can explain your problem in your own words. You have to ask for the interpreter yourself; the service is free but it is not offered automatically.

The switchboard sits in Transport for Greater Manchester's headquarters at 2 Piccadilly Place, Manchester city centre, so anyone who prefers to speak face-to-face will need to travel out of Oldham. Separate timetables apply to the agency's information and ticket counters, and those have not been released here.

The 2026 contact rules leave evening and early-morning commuters with a safety net, but they also shift more responsibility onto passengers to know when and how to ask for extra help.
