Police search for man who escaped custody in Oldham cemetery
Police are hunting for a man who escaped custody while at Greenacres Cemetery in Oldham last Thursday. Terry Dervan, 37, was last seen at the cemetery on Hollins Road around midday on March 26, prompting a major search operation by Greater Manchester Police.
Dervan is wanted on recall to prison and was in lawful custody when he fled. Officers say he has connections to both Oldham and the Tameside area, though they believe he poses no threat to the wider community. Police have released his photograph to help identify him.
The search has focused on areas around the cemetery and nearby neighborhoods, with officers conducting door-to-door inquiries. Police are asking anyone who may have seen Dervan or has information about his whereabouts to come forward immediately.
