Oldham schools trust shortlisted for four national awards

Oldham's schools are being recognised nationally for excellence in education, inclusion, and sustainability.

An Oldham-based academy trust has been shortlisted for four national awards, putting the town's schools in the spotlight for their work with pupils and communities.

E-ACT, which runs The Oldham Academy North and Royton and Crompton Academy, is celebrating after being named a finalist in the MAT Excellence Awards 2026.

The trust is up for MAT of the Year, Environmental Trust of the Year, the SEND Award, and the Staff Development Award.

CEO Tom Campbell said the nominations reflect the dedication of staff and pupils, including those at the Oldham schools.

He added: 'Our Oldham schools sit at the heart of their communities, and this recognition belongs to our pupils, families and staff who make them such positive places to learn and work.
