Oldham pub Easter egg appeal for Royal Oldham Hospital children

The Welcome Inn pub on Hollins Road has launched an Easter egg appeal to bring some joy to children spending the holidays in hospital. The community pub is collecting chocolate eggs for the children's ward at Royal Oldham Hospital, hoping to make Easter a little brighter for young patients and their families.

Pub staff say they understand how difficult it can be for children to spend holidays in hospital. 'Spending Easter in hospital can be incredibly tough for children and their families,' a spokesperson said. 'As a community pub, we wanted to do something that brings a little bit of happiness at a difficult time.

The appeal has already gathered 38 Easter eggs in its first weeks, with the pub hoping to collect many more before Easter arrives. The Welcome Inn is encouraging local residents to drop off chocolate egg donations between 11am and 11pm daily.
