Oldham hairdresser Adina Foey opens new salon in Lees

Oldham hairdresser Adina Foey has opened a new salon in Lees after 15 years of mobile work, creating eight local jobs and expanding beauty services...

Adina Foey has traded her bedroom for a proper salon after 15 years of mobile hairdressing and 18 months of running her hair extension business from home. The 34-year-old from Oldham has opened Manes Hair and Beauty on Thomas Street in Lees, marking a major step up for her growing business.

The salon officially launched on February 28 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by family and friends. Adina and co-owner Jack Ford took over the former salon premises on February 1 and completely renovated it in just three weeks, giving it a 'brand new makeover' before opening to customers.

The new venture employs eight hairdressers and beauticians and offers a range of services including hair, aesthetics, brows and lashes. Notably, Holly Ditchfield, who appeared on the 2024 series of Married at First Sight, provides brow and lash treatments at the salon.

Adina says the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with customers already praising the salon's appearance and booking walk-in appointments within the first week. 'We've had really good comments, saying that it looks stunning, it's totally different,' she told The Oldham Times, adding that she's already seen plenty of walk-ins despite being open only a week.
