Oldham Council Festive Saturdays 2025 - Free Family Events
Oldham Council is bringing four weeks of free festive fun to the town centre this winter, with special Saturday events running from November 22 to December 13. Families can enjoy themed entertainment, street theatre, and the chance to meet Santa at the Market Hall each weekend.
The Festive Saturdays programme kicks off with a Victorian Christmas theme on November 22, followed by a Festive Feast on November 29 featuring magical puppets and illuminated characters. December 6 brings a Winter Wonderland with the Snow Queen and icy stilt-walkers, before finishing with Santa's Workshop on December 13.
Councillor Arooj Shah, Leader of Oldham Council, said the events are designed to bring extra magic to the town centre while supporting local businesses. 'We're proud to offer such a rich and creative programme for residents and visitors of all ages,' she added.
Santa's Grotto will be available at the Market Hall from 12-4pm on all event dates, with Dr Kershaw's Hospice also running a separate grotto at Spindles from November 28 to Christmas Eve. Families can book slots for the hospice grotto via SantaBooker.
