Police have arrested a man after a death in Royton, with authorities saying the incident is isolated and there's no wider threat to residents.

Police have arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of murder after a 48-year-old man was found dead at a property on Higginshaw Lane in Royton this morning. Emergency services were called to the address at 10:23am following concerns for welfare, but despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
