Oldham care home Avonleigh Gardens named top 20 in North West

An Oldham care home has been named one of the top 20 in the North West, a significant achievement that highlights the quality of care available to local families.

Avonleigh Gardens on Windsor Road made the list in carehome.co.uk's awards, which are based on reviews from residents, their families, and friends. Out of 1,784 care homes across the region, Avonleigh Gardens ranked in the top 20.

The recognition comes from carehome.co.uk, a comparison site that lists all registered care homes nationwide and provides verified reviews, inspection ratings, and fee information. The site now holds more than 400,000 reviews of care homes across the UK.

Home manager Rachel Bowers said the team is 'over the moon' about the award, which reflects their person-centred approach to care. 'It means a lot because it reflects the experiences of the people who matter most to us, our residents and their families,' she said.

With nearly 17,000 care homes across the UK caring for around half a million people, and the population aged 65 and over projected to rise significantly in coming decades, demand for high-quality care continues to grow.
