Blue bin
- Paper, card, cardboard, envelopes, junk mail
- Newspapers, magazines, brochures, egg boxes
- Food and drink cartons (tetra packs)
- Wrap shredded paper in a sheet of newspaper or box it

Brown bin
- Plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays (incl. black trays)
- Glass bottles and jars, food tins, drink cans
- Aerosols, foil
- No plastic film, carrier bags, crisp packets or pet food pouches
All items must be clean and empty of food or drink.
Green bin
- All cooked and uncooked food, meat and bones
- Fruit, veg, tea bags, coffee grounds, egg shells, dairy
- Grass, flowers, hedge and plant cuttings
- No soil, gravel, stones, wood, or invasive weeds
Compostable bags for the food caddy are sold at 100+ stockists and libraries.
Grey bin
- Only rubbish that can't be recycled
- Nappies, polystyrene, plastic bags and film
- Plant pots, jar/bottle lids, broken crockery and glassware
- Never put batteries or vapes in any bin. They cause fires in collection vehicles
