University Campus Oldham (UCO) has achieved above-average scores in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2026. The campus, located on University Way at Oldham College, works in partnership with universities including the University of Lancashire, the University of Huddersfield, Sheffield Hallam University and The Open University.

The NSS is an independent survey overseen by the Office for Students (OfS) that asks final-year undergraduate students about course quality across publicly funded institutions in England. UCO scored higher than the England sector average in five of the survey's category themes this year.

Assessment and feedback were rated more than five per cent above the sector average. Academic support was 3.6 per cent higher, teaching on the course was 2.8 per cent higher, organisation and management 2.7 per cent above and learning opportunities 1.3 per cent above. A key highlight was that 95 per cent of students said their teaching staff were good at explaining things.

Sue Holden, UCO's Assistant Principal for HE and Higher Skills, said: "This is another superb set of NSS results. To be above sector average across five of the themed areas highlights our focus on the quality of our teaching, as well as the truly supportive community we have here at UCO."
