The Spindles marks five retail investments as Oldham town centre momentum continues
The Spindles in Oldham celebrates five retail investments, with two new stores and three refurbishments boosting town centre confidence.

The Spindles shopping centre has welcomed two new retailers and seen three major store refurbishments completed, in the latest sign of momentum in Oldham town centre.
Cards Direct and North West have opened new stores at the centre. H. Samuel, Daniel Christian Menswear and Lloyds Bank have all completed major refurbishments of their existing shops.
The investment comes as the recently opened market continues to draw visitors, part of a £450million town centre investment programme that the council says is driving increased footfall across The Spindles.
James Kington, Director of Growth at Oldham Council, said the five investments send a strong message about retailer confidence in the future of the centre and the wider town centre.
"The opening of the market has created real momentum and is helping to attract more people into the heart of Oldham," he said.
"As footfall continues to grow, it is encouraging to see businesses responding by enhancing their offer and investing in the customer experience."
Cards Direct has opened its 93rd store in Oldham. James Monte, who opened the store, said the centre offers a strong retail environment and a growing customer base.
Usama Bin-Zaman of North West said The Spindles is an important destination within Oldham town centre, and that increasing visitor numbers made it the right time to open.
The H. Samuel refurbishment is part of a multimillion-pound investment programme by its parent company, Signet Jewelers UK and Ireland.
Dan Keogh of Daniel Christian Menswear said the refurbishment would create a better experience for loyal customers and demonstrates a long-term commitment to the centre and Oldham.
