Students at E-ACT The Oldham Academy North are celebrating today as Year 11 pupils receive their GCSE results, marking the end of their secondary school journey.

Staff, families and students gathered to mark individual achievements, with many young people now preparing for sixth form, college, apprenticeships and other routes.

Among the standout results, Head Boy Sulaiman Akram achieved nine grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7. He was also appointed as an E-ACT Ambassador.

Hamza Hussain secured eight grade 9s and three grade 8s. He hopes to pursue a career in neurological medicine.

Tasnem Sneha achieved eight grade 9s and three grade 8s, including Further Maths, and has ambitions to study medicine.

Zaim Khan, who aspires to work in finance and accountancy, achieved eight grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7, including a grade 9 in Further Maths.

Natalie Kennerley, Headteacher of E-ACT The Oldham Academy North, said: "Today is about celebrating our students and the commitment they have shown throughout their time at Oldham North.

"We are incredibly proud of the determination they have demonstrated and the way they have risen to challenges along the way. It has been fantastic to celebrate their achievements with them today, and we look forward to seeing what they go on to accomplish."

"These achievements reflect the hard work of students, the dedication of staff and the support of families. It has been a successful year for the academy, and we are proud of everything the school community has achieved together."
