Sophie Hunt runs 860 miles for Oldham youth charities
Sophie Hunt will run 860 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End in 24 days, raising funds for two Oldham youth charities.

Sophie Hunt, Female Football Pathway Manager at Oldham Athletic Community Trust, is taking on a gruelling endurance challenge. She will run 860 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End in just 24 days, covering around 35 miles every day.
The run is raising money for two local causes: Oldham Athletic Community Trust and Fullcirclenw CIC. Funds raised will be split between the two organisations, supporting safe spaces and youth clubs for young people across Oldham, sports coaching and physical activity programmes, and mentoring and leadership opportunities.
So far, supporters have helped raise £6,000 towards the £20,000 target. To reach that goal, the challenge needs approximately £600 a day over the remaining 23 days of Sophie's run.
People can get involved by sponsoring a day with a corporate or individual donation, making a direct donation of any size, or sharing Sophie's updates on social media. Her daily progress is being posted on Instagram at @sophtothelimits, and donations can be made through a JustGiving page set up for the challenge.
