Students at E-ACT Royton & Crompton Academy collected their GCSE results on Thursday 20 August 2026, marking the end of five years of study and the start of their next chapter.

The results cap years of learning and commitment, with students now moving on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships and other routes.

Among those celebrating were several students with standout grades. Julian Madolora achieved five grade 9s including Biology, Chemistry and Physics, two grade 8s and one grade 7. He will continue at Oldham Sixth Form College to study A-Levels.

Oliver Pemberton picked up five grade 9s including Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, plus one grade 8, two grade 7s and one grade 6. He is joining Rochdale Sixth Form College to study A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths and Economics.

Millie Hughes achieved two grade 9s, five grade 8s and two grade 6s, and plans to study A-Levels at Oldham Sixth Form.

Julienne Madolra secured five grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry, English, History and Physics, along with two grade 8s and a grade 7. She will also continue at Oldham Sixth Form for A-Levels.

Mickey-Lee Wilson-Wright achieved one grade 9 in Maths, two grade 8s, three grade 7s and three grade 6s. He will join Oldham Sixth Form College.

Gemma Cottingham, Executive Headteacher of E-ACT Royton & Crompton Academy, praised the Year 11 students for their effort.

"Today is about celebrating the dedication and effort of our Year 11 students," she said. "We are so incredibly proud of the way they have approached their learning and the achievements they have worked so hard for. It has been wonderful to celebrate this moment with them, they are an absolute credit to our academy, and we wish them every success as they move on to their next steps."

These achievements reflect the hard work of students and the support they have received from staff, families and the wider community. We are proud of their determination and look forward to seeing what they achieve in the future."
