Police have issued an urgent appeal for help to locate a man who has been missing for almost two weeks, and they are now asking residents across Oldham to keep an eye out for him.

Owen, who has not been further named, was last seen on Saturday, May 30, in the Longsight area of Manchester. He was spotted on Daisy Bank Road, but there are fears he may have travelled further afield, possibly into Oldham or surrounding towns.

Described as being of slim build with short brown hair, Owen wears glasses and has distinctive tattoos, including a prominent neck tattoo. Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for his safety and wellbeing.

“We are becoming more worried about Owen and want to make sure he is safe and well,” a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said. “We are urging anyone who has seen him, or who knows where he might be, to come forward as soon as possible.”

Oldham residents are being asked to check their gardens, outbuildings, and any nearby parks or public spaces where Owen might have sought shelter. Given the time he has been missing, it is possible he may have changed his appearance or is avoiding contact.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Greater Manchester Police immediately by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency. The force has not yet released a photograph of Owen, but the description of his tattoos and glasses should help identify him.

Local community groups and Neighbourhood Watch schemes across Oldham have been alerted, and police are encouraging people to share the appeal on social media to reach as wide an audience as possible.
