An Oldham law firm has raised more than £193,000 for charity through the national Will Aid campaign, becoming the highest donating participating firm in the North West.

Touch Solicitors has supported Will Aid since 2011, volunteering each November to prepare basic Wills in exchange for charitable donations instead of its usual fees. In the latest campaign, the firm raised £61,960.

This brings its overall contribution to £193,143 since it began taking part in the initiative. Money raised through Will Aid is shared between its partner charities, supporting causes in the UK and overseas.

Trusha Velji, a director at Touch Solicitors, said: "We're incredibly proud to have reached this milestone. Supporting such important causes while helping our clients plan for the future makes it especially meaningful. Will Aid is something the whole team looks forward to each year."

The Will Aid campaign has raised more than £26 million in charitable donations since its launch in 1988. During November, participating solicitors prepare professionally written basic Wills in return for suggested donations. The 2025 campaign supported Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Crisis, NSPCC, SCIAF, Shelter and Trócaire.
