Oldham law firm Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers has promoted Daniel Phelps to head its medical negligence team, Saddleworth Independent reports. Mr Phelps qualified as a solicitor with the firm in 2022 after completing his training contract there, and now leads a team acting for clients across the UK who say they were harmed by medical, clinical or surgical negligence.

Director Joanne Ormston said the appointment reflected "both his development within Pearson and how he has contributed to the talent and the strength of the team he is now leading."

The department, which has offices in Oldham, Uppermill, Failsworth and Milnrow, handles cases including delayed diagnoses, surgical errors and birth injuries.
