A new Innovation Grant of up to £10,000 is available for businesses in Oldham to help them expand, drive productivity and create new employment opportunities, Oldham Council has announced.

The Innovation Grant is open to businesses already based in the borough and those planning to relocate to Oldham. Priority will be given to businesses operating in key sectors including manufacturing, construction, digital and creative industries, and low-carbon technology.

The funding can be used for investment in equipment, technology and other projects that will help businesses innovate and grow. Businesses must contribute 50 per cent of the project cost.

To receive the grant, businesses must complete their project and create at least one full-time job by Sunday 28 Feb 2027.

James Kington, Director of Growth at Oldham Council, said: "This new grant programme is designed to give businesses the confidence and support they need to invest in their future. By helping businesses to grow and create new jobs, we can attract more investment into the borough and create more opportunities for local people."
