Oldham College learners collect GCSE results at campus event
Oldham College marked GCSE Results Day on Thursday 20th August with a campus event celebrating learners whose grades help them progress to study or work.

Oldham College held a special event on campus on GCSE Results Day, Thursday 20th August, where learners collected their results and shared their successes with friends, families and staff.
The college said the day produced many stories of how the grades have helped learners take their next step, whether that is progressing with the college or moving on to further study or employment.
Yousra, currently the FE Student Governor at Oldham College, achieved a 6 in maths. She previously completed qualifications in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and in September will begin a T Level course in Surveying and Design Construction. Her career ambition is to become an architect.
Demi-Leigh, who is studying BA (Hons) Education and Early Years at the college's higher education provision, University Campus Oldham, passed her maths qualification. She said: "It feels absolutely amazing to have passed! To finally get this result is just incredible and I can't believe it."
William achieved a 7 in English language and can now progress to university, with the future ambition of completing a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) qualification. "It's a huge step, so I'm very happy," he said.
Paria achieved an 8 in maths and will also be progressing to university, where she has offers to study Physiotherapy or Pharmacy. "I've always liked maths, and my tutor Kath has been so supportive," she said. "I feel lucky to have had a really good teacher and classmates."
