Redrow's Bishop Meadows development, between Royton and Shaw, has passed the halfway mark with more than 50% of its homes now sold.

The site will eventually contain more than 200 properties, five acres of green space and an orchard.

Steve Jackson, regional sales director at Redrow, said the location had been a major selling point.

"We're really proud of the community we've created here at Bishop Meadows. Its location has been a major selling point as it's surrounded by open countryside whilst being located just 10 minutes outside of Oldham town centre," he said.

Jackson said Bishop Meadows had attracted a wide range of purchasers and urged anyone interested in the development to act fast.

All homes at Bishop Meadows come from Redrow's arts and crafts inspired Heritage Collection. They feature air source heat pumps providing heating and hot water, as well as underfloor heating to the ground floor, which Redrow says reduces homeowners' energy use.

Part Exchange is available on the property, where Redrow effectively becomes the cash buyer for the purchaser's existing home. This skips traditional home-selling issues such as long chains and estate agent fees.
