The Toby Carvery in Chadderton Park was closed for a short time on Friday evening, August 28, after reports that a man was tasered by police in the car park.
Emergency services, including police cars and an ambulance, were called to the restaurant on Chadderton Park, Oldham. Witnesses said a man appeared to be running from police officers before he was tasered in the car park. He appeared to try to enter the restaurant before being tasered outside, they said.
The restaurant reopened around an hour later, with a police car remaining at the scene.
Greater Manchester Police and Mitchell and Butlers, the parent company of Toby Carvery, have been approached for further information.
