Mahdlo Youth Zone will host its second annual Rugby Dinner on Friday 9 October, with proceeds supporting the charity's work with young people across Oldham.

The event falls during Mahdlo's 15th anniversary year. Terry Flanagan MBE and Kevin Fitzpatrick will host the evening.

Speakers include former Wigan player and Wales head coach Martin Hall, former St Helens and Salford player Mark Flanagan, Wakefield Trinity player Jack Sinfield, and three-time Lance Todd Trophy winner Marc Sneyd.

The evening will include a drinks reception, a two-course meal, entertainment, and stories from the speakers about their careers on and off the pitch.

Flanagan, a Mahdlo board member and chairman of Oldham Rugby League Football Club, said he was looking forward to bringing people together around a sport that holds an important place in Oldham while raising money to support the next generation in the community.

All proceeds from ticket sales will fund Mahdlo's programme of sports, arts, mentoring and support for young people across the borough.

Oldham-based business M&C Risk is sponsoring the dinner for a second consecutive year.

Standard tickets are £50 per person, with VIP tickets available for £60. To book, visit mahdloyz.org/event/rugby or email [email protected].
