Judging for the annual Saddleworth Christmas Illuminations Competition will take place on Wednesday 16 December, with judges touring the area from 5:30pm.

Saddleworth Parish Council is encouraging residents to take part. The competition celebrates the festive displays that brighten villages across Saddleworth each Christmas, and judges will be looking for the most eye-catching and imaginative seasonal decorations.

Displays can be traditional, brightly lit or a creative Christmas scene. The council says residents, businesses and community groups all help make Saddleworth sparkle over the festive season.

The presentation for the competition will be held on 20th January 2027 at 7pm.
