Hulme Grammar Students Celebrate Outstanding GCSE Success Following Exceptional A Level Results
Hulme Grammar students achieved outstanding GCSE results, with nearly a third scoring grades 9-8, following exceptional A Level success.

Hulme Grammar School is celebrating another strong set of GCSE results, with nearly a third of students achieving grades 9-8 and more than half of all grades at 7-9.
The national average for grades 7-9 is 21%, putting the school's performance well above the typical benchmark. The results follow last week's A Level success, in which over 75% of students achieved A* to B grades.
Most students exceeded their predicted grades, according to the school, and will now move into the sixth form. The school says students benefit from tailored teaching, small class sizes and work experience opportunities arranged through its alumni network.
Top achievers this year were Inaaya with 10 Grade 9s, Jovin with 8 Grade 9s and Sophia with 7 Grade 9s. A further 10% of the year group achieved the highest grades and have earned academic scholarships to enter the sixth form.
The school said the GCSE results reflect years of work by pupils and teachers, including students on scholarships and bursaries from the most deprived neighbourhoods of the borough.
A spokesperson said: "These excellent GCSE results reflect the ambition, resilience and commitment of our students. Throughout their time at Hulme, they have embraced every opportunity, encouraged by talented teachers and a community that knows, supports and believes in them."
The school is holding an open evening on Friday 2nd October from 4:00pm to 7:00pm for families considering entry. For more information, contact Amy Coulman on 0161 624 4497 or visit www.hulmegrammar.org.
