Hopwood Hall College's Class of 2026 have collected their results, with students moving on to apprenticeships and degree courses.

The college described this year's grades as a celebration of technical education as students opened their results on Thursday.

Holly Melia, from Bury, studied Level 3 Biomedical Science and earned two Distinction*'s and a Distinction during the two-year course. The 19-year-old said she "fell in love with science" thanks to the enthusiasm and expertise of her tutors. She has accepted a place to study Biochemistry at the University of Salford and hopes to one day complete a PhD.

William Woodworth earned a Distinction in the T Level in Building Services Electrical Engineering. The former Beech House School pupil completed a 45-day industry placement with Network Plus during his course, and has been recruited as a Substation Fitter Apprentice with Electricity North West. He said the placement gave him the skills, knowledge and confidence to secure the apprenticeship.

James Walker, a former Crompton House pupil, also earned a Distinction on the same T Level. He is set to start a degree in Quantity Surveying at the University of Salford.

Madison Schofield, from Oldham, achieved an excellent result in Animal Management. The former Newman RC College pupil has accepted a place on the BSc in Zoo Science and Wildlife Conservation at Hopwood Hall College's University Centre.
