Dr Kershaw's Hospice is hosting a 'Drive 4 UR Community' event this weekend in partnership with OMC Motor Group, where Ford UK will donate £30 for every test drive taken.

The event takes place on Saturday, July 4, from 9am to 4pm, and Sunday, July 5, from 10am to 3pm, at the hospice. Attendees can test drive Ford's electric, hybrid and performance models, including the Puma, Puma Gen-E, Capri, Explorer, Kuga, Mustang, Mustang Mach-E, E-Transit Custom, E-Transit Courier and Ranger PHEV.

There will also be children's activities and the hospice's Café K will be open for refreshments.

Jonathan Eglin, managing director of OMC Motor Group, said: "As a family-run business with deep roots in Oldham, supporting organisations that make such a profound difference to local families is incredibly important to us." He encouraged the community to take part, adding: "A short test drive could make a lasting difference to families across our community."

The event follows OMC Motor Group's donation of a Ford Transit Custom van to the hospice in 2025. David Dawson, health and safety facilities manager at the hospice, said the new van is more reliable and fuel-efficient, and helps keep operations running smoothly.
