Four more people have been charged with arson over the moorland fire at Dove Stone Reservoir, in Greenfield.

Greater Manchester Police has charged Tyler Warburton, 18, Toby Wilde, Jake Eyre and Lyreec Bryan-Gavin, 22, with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.

Wilde, 18, and Eyre, 19, have also been charged with possession of a class B drug, cannabis.

All four have been bailed ahead of a court appearance on February 25, 2027, at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.

The blaze destroyed much of the area around the reservoir and led to a major incident being declared. Police say the incident remains under investigation, with officers pursuing a number of lines of enquiry and seeking to identify any other individuals who may have been involved.

The force has appealed for anyone with footage or information to submit it via the Dovestone Fire Evidence Submission Portal.

Shania Care-Slede, 20, of Market Street in Hyde, has denied charges of arson and aggravated arson in connection with the same fire. She appeared via video link at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court on Friday, August 21.
