First Choice Homes Oldham annual report highlights 507 new energy-efficient homes
FCHO's 2025/2026 annual report shows delivery against its Big Plan, including 507 new energy-efficient homes against a 332 target and work with Oldham College.
First Choice Homes Oldham has published its annual report for 2025/2026, the final year of its Big Plan, setting out what the housing provider delivered against four priorities: great services, great homes, great neighbourhoods and great company.
The report describes a year of strong performance set against cost-of-living pressures, financial challenges, changing customer expectations and new legislation. The landlord says it kept delivering for customers and communities while making changes to improve performance in future.
Feedback from customers, colleagues and stakeholders runs through the year's work, according to the report, shaping how the organisation provides safe, decent homes, builds new ones and delivers services.
Among the highlights listed:
A Customer and Communities Strategy was launched, which First Choice Homes Oldham says was shaped by its largest engagement exercise with customers, partners and colleagues to date. A Homes Strategy was also introduced, bringing together how the organisation manages and invests in homes and neighbourhoods.
The provider beat its target for new homes. The Big Plan set a goal of 332 homes; First Choice Homes Oldham delivered 507 new, energy efficient homes, all rated B or above on their Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), the rating that records how energy efficient a property is.
New approaches were brought in to improve satisfaction with how antisocial behaviour (ASB) is handled, alongside closer work with the police and the local authority. A People Strategy and a refreshed approach to colleague engagement were also launched.
The report points to the organisation's role as a community partner, including shaping local housing, health and economic growth priorities, supporting skills development with Oldham College, and working with community organisations.
Chief executive Mark Gifford said: "I would like to thank customers, colleagues, Board members and partners for the part they have played in these achievements.
"Together, they helped us seize opportunities, plan ambitiously and strengthen our social purpose as we continue to make a positive difference to our customers and communities."
"Looking ahead, performance insights and feedback from customers and colleagues have informed our new corporate plan. It sets our direction for the next five years and reaffirms our focus on providing quality homes, excellent services and supporting strong communities."
The organisation is asking customers for comments on the report. A printed copy or another format is available by calling 0161 393 7117 or emailing [email protected].
