A Family Fun Day at Denshaw Village Hall aims to raise funds for Saddleworth Football Club to revive a disused pitch as its new home.

The event will take place on Sunday, August 30, from noon at the hall on Ripponden Road. Activities for all ages include live music, hook-a-duck, face painting, a bouncy castle, and various stalls. A barbecue, bar, and refreshments will also be available.

The fundraiser will support the club's plans to bring a disused pitch at Bishop Park, on Ripponden Road, back into use. The pitch will become the new home for the club, which has 15 junior teams for players aged seven to 14, an academy with more than 50 five and six-year-olds, and an open age side.
