The Manchester and District Alliance competitions, involving more than 100 clubs across the region, have reached the quarter-final stage. Dukinfield remain in contention in the Dunham Forest Trophy, which features teams made up of a club professional and six leading amateurs.

Dukinfield will be led by professional Dave Green when they host Leigh in the quarter-finals. The other ties are Chorlton against Dunham Forest, Heaton Moor against Wilpshire and Wychwood Park against Disley. Defending champions Ashton-on-Mersey were knocked out in the earlier rounds. The final will be played at Dunham Forest Golf Club on September 26.

There are no local clubs remaining in the Archie Preston Mixed Foursomes. Dukinfield travel to Rochdale in the City Glass Men's Foursomes, while Brookdale visit Bolton in the Alliance Seniors KO. Denton make the short trip to Disley in the BMW Juniors KO.

At Ashton, Andy Lomas won his monthly medal division after a card play-off on 66 with Daniel Halkyard. Jamie Dickinson, Alan Newell with 67 and Chris Dolman with 66 won the other divisions. Gary Clarke with 39 points, Bobby Ebrell with 41 and Pete White with 43 took the Sunday Stableford divisions, and Ollie Lomas won the Junior Stableford with 38 points, 15 clear of Mason Mistry and Jacob Midgley.

At Brookdale, Angela Hunter won the ladies Millennium medal with 69, one ahead of Lesley Eaton and Victoria Akin. Paul Wood topped a Roll Up with 42 points, followed by John Pickup with 40 and Keith Miller and Michael Fitzgerald with 38.

The Hall Cup at Crompton and Royton was won by Liam Marshall, Jack Keighley, Jaydn Vickers and Adrian Clegg in their divisions. Gillian Pickering won the second round of the Lady Captain's medal with 68, ahead of Anne Richardson on 69. In the midweek medal, Angelo Petrillo won a card play-off with Rick Fallon on 65, and Alan Hopkinson junior won another on 66 with David Capper.

Charity Pepuzani led Denton's ladies medal with 67, followed by Davina White and Hazel Hathaway on 70. Bradley Waterfall won the Wednesday Stableford with 41 points, ahead of Kevin Brearley with 40 and Paul Coulter with 39.

At Dukinfield, Ian Child, David Brunt and Edward Gerrard won the second Captain's qualifier divisions. Cathy Peel won a card play-off with Abbygale Orford on 65 in the ladies Single Spoon medal. D and H Slattery won the Mixed Open BB Stableford with 48 points, ahead of J Jacombs and C Davidson on 44. Noah Dyball topped the Junior Stableford with 42 points, followed by Joseph Kershaw with 38 and Reuben and Jude Shaw with 37.

At Fairfield, Gary Gledhill won the first division of a medal with 65, one ahead of Steve Williams, and David Mushet won division two with 67. Matthew Dunn led the first round of the Marchington Cup with 64. Louise Ann Wrigley won the final round for the Rose Bowl with 65, ahead of Wendy Ryan on 72 and Ann Wrigley on 73.

At Saddleworth, Maxine Parfitt won division one of the Lady Captain's Stableford with 40 points, ahead of Helen Hopkinson on 39, and Kath Lacey won division two with 36 points. Lee Rowbotham won the Club Championship with rounds of 72 and 70 for 142, with BA Pullen second on 145 and Craig Burgess third on 148. Charles Hanson won the Subsidiary Stableford with 43 points, ahead of Daniel Spurr with 40.

Stamford's August medal divisions were won by Roy Sidebottom, Matthew Stuart and Martin Duncuft. Greg Whalley won a card play-off with Craig Pogson on 20 points in the nine-hole Stableford. Jo Akers won the ladies Stableford with 38 points, ahead of Marjorie Harrop with 33.
