Saddleworth's Round Table and Rotary Club are holding their annual charity duck race on Sunday, August 2, with ducks released on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal near Saddleworth Marina.

First place wins £100, second takes £75 and third receives £50. A single duck costs £2, or you can register three for £5.

Ducks will be on sale at Tesco Greenfield on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26. They will also be available on race day at the Marina Market.

The event is subject to water levels and flow, with test runs planned beforehand and contingency arrangements in place.

A separate traditional duck race down the River Tame at the Saddleworth Show also takes place this summer, on Sunday, June 30.
